- Winter tasks & Crop rotation Taking cuttings
- Spraying stone-fruit trees Storing winter vegetables
After lunch there will be a pruning demonstration at Alison’s in Progress Valley;
There will be seeds / plants on offer to trade, barter or koha (please bring own containers); If you have any seeds or plants to trade, barter or share please bring these on the day;
NB there is no cost for the workshop however a small koha to cover refreshments is appreciated.
If it is wet the workshop will be postponed until Saturday 24 June
Directions to workshop venue: From Invercargill to Waikawa it is approximately 1 hour drive on the southern scenic route towards Balclutha;
At the T-intersection turnoff to Balclutha drive straight ahead towards Waikawa / Curio Bay
The location is 3.47km past this intersection and is the 3rd house on the left past the Niagara Falls Cafe and is sign-posted Mangai Piri;
Directions from Waikawa: 1st house on the right past the Waikawa cemetery;
What to bring: Gumboots / outdoor footwear, warm clothing / coat etc as we will be outside for most of the day; Notebook and pen
